St. Louis Hillel serves the more than 2,000 Jewish students who attend Washington University and other St. Louis colleges and universities.  Hillel seeks to inspire Jewish students to make an enduring commitment to Jewish life.  Its mission is to enrich the lives of Jewish undergraduate and graduate students in St. Louis so that they may enrich the Jewish people and the world.  Hillel realizes its mission by engaging students with innovative programs and initiatives in the areas of social justice, Israel and religious life.

Every Friday night, Hillel welcomes students for Shabbat at the Alvin & Jeanette Goldfarb Hillel Building with student-led Reform, Conservative and Orthodox services followed by a festive kosher Shabbat dinner.  Hillel also organizes alternative break experiences such as Taglit-Birthright Israel and service trips around the world.  St. Louis Hillel is accredited by Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life and is a beneficiary agency of the Jewish Federation of St. Louis.  To learn more about St. Louis Hillel, or for information on how you can join us for Shabbat, holidays or other events, please visit our website at
