Congregation Shaare Emeth is a compassionate and inclusive community that strives to make Judaism relevant, meaningful and joyful for our members and guests. All are welcome to join our inclusive, egalitarian Reform services and programs.
Congregation Shaare Emeth is a caring community – a place of meaningful worship with a dynamic religious school, preschool and summer camps. Our vibrant clergy and staff, including Congregation Shaare Emeth’s Director of Jewish Life and Learning, work hard to provide stimulating Jewish adult education and relevant programs along with regular Tuesday and Saturday Torah Study.
Our many social groups make Congregation Shaare Emeth a frequent gathering place for many. Our seniors group usually meets twice a month, Brotherhood sponsors weekly bridge games, Sisterhood holds frequent events, and our youth groups are active locally and with the national NFTY group. We also host events, such as Cooks ‘N Books and the Annual Litvag Local Authors Program, organized by members within the Shaare Emeth community.
Social action is a core value of Congregation Shaare Emeth. We reach out in compassion, courage, and action to make our world a better place for all through Pride Fest, healthcare rallies, and other initiatives. Director of Jewish Life and Learning Debbie Bram coordinates a regular schedule of tzedakah and acts of lovingkindness. Our favorites include participation in Room at the Inn where we act as a shelter for those in need; volunteering at the Harvey Kornblum Jewish Food Pantry, holding item donation drives, and making meals for homebound seniors.
We are proud of our outreach to the intermarried and Jews by Choice, and we always welcome new members and visitors.
