Women’s Philanthropy of the Jewish Federation of St. Louis provides opportunities for women to connect with each other while learning about and supporting the needs of the Jewish community in St. Louis, Israel and around the world.

Engaging women of all ages and backgrounds, Women’s Philanthropy enhances Jewish life through special events, community service projects, education, leadership opportunities and philanthropy. Together we make an impact in our diverse community!

History

In 1901, the Jewish Federation of St. Louis was founded. The Women’s Division, founded in 1948, helped strengthen women’s philanthropy by encouraging women to give their own gifts and recognize and develop leadership.Business and Professional Women’s Division was founded in 1987 to recognize the special interests of career women and provide them opportunities to serve the community and cultivate leadership.Women’s Connection was formed in 2006 by combining Women’s Division and Business & Professional Division to work together to achieve philanthropic goals and leadership goals.Women’s Connection changed its name in 2011 to Women’s Philanthropy to reflect the impact of women’s philanthropy and leadership in our Jewish community.

Get Involved

There are a variety of ways to get involved with Women’s Philanthropy. Whether you participate on an event committee, chair an event, take on a role with our Board or our Executive Committee or act as a Development Volunteer to support the Jewish Federation of St. Louis’ Annual Campaign, we are always excited to have women like YOU become a part of our thriving community of volunteers and philanthropists.

  • Connect with the community through hands-on service opportunities.
  • Participate in Women’s Philanthropy “Taste of Our Community” classes.
  • Volunteer to help with one of our events or join the Women’s Philanthropy Board.
  • Explore the past, present and future of the Jewish people on missions to Israel and other parts of the country.
  • Support the the Jewish Federation of St. Louis’ Annual Campaign at the Women’s Philanthropy L’Chaim Campaign Event.
  • Encourage others to give.
